2018 Reflections Winner, AWARE Nominees, and PTA Life Members

At the January 18, 2018 regular membership meeting, PTA recognized Butler’s Reflections Art Contest winner, Natalie P. Natalie’s dance choreography entry took first place in the Arlington Council of PTAs District-level Reflections Art Contest!  Her entry is advancing to state-level judging this spring.  Great work, Natalie, and good luck at state!

PTA also recognized Butler’s AWARE nominees and Life Member recipients at this meeting.  We are so proud of all these individuals who work tirelessly for our students!

AWARE stands for Arlington Will Award and Recognize (Educational) Excellence.  The AWARE foundation recognizes and rewards exceptional teachers in the AISD.  AWARE recognizes all nominated teachers and awards a cash prize to the winner and runner-up in each category at its annual banquet.

Butler’s nominees this year are 4th grade teacher Erin Wallace and 6th grade teacher Erin Jacobs. They will be recognized and honored at the AWARE banquet later this spring.  Congratulations and THANK YOU to these exceptional teachers!

The PTA Honorary Life Membership Award is one of the highest forms of recognition to let a volunteer know how much we truly appreciate their dedication to our children and the community.  These Life Membership Award recipients have made, and are making, a worthwhile contribution to the well-being of children.  THANK YOU to these outstanding individuals!
