Butler Elementary PTA was organized in 1975, the year Butler Elementary opened in north Arlington. We are a member of the Arlington Council of PTAs as well as Area 18 PTAs. Our meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of September, November, January, March and May at 7pm in the Butler Elementary School cafetorium.

Butler PTA supports our teachers, parents and students with the following events:
- Book Fair/Book Club
- Jingle Run
- PTA programs, such as Veteran’s Day, Day of Drumming, Dennis Lee & Nana Puddin’
- School directory
- School newsletter, published 4 times throughout the school year
- School supply sales
- T-shirts for spirit days
- Yearbook
- Back to School Luncheon and appreciation events for faculty and staff
- Reflections Contest
- Popcorn & Fun Fridays
